I was about to spend thousands of dollars for someone to prepare and file my non-profit exemption paperwork for me until someone encouraged me to take my time and do it on my own. I had no clue and just started doing research and I feel God lead me to this site. I took my time and followed the instructions by the letter and submitted my application to the IRS. I am happy to report 6 months later (I didn’t expedite) I received my determination letter from the IRS designating my organization as a legitimate 501c3! I “happened” upon this website in late March. Diligently read and re-read the instructions. Made the maximum donation and spent two weeks cutting, pasting and writing. Sent Chris my application, received his feedback, made the necessary changes and a week later sent the revised copy for his review.

Received his approval and sent the Form with the attachments to the IRS on Monday, April 25, 2022. Received approval from the IRS on May 17th and opened my confirmation letter on May 26th.

Wow, where do I start? I feel so fortunate to have stumbled across this website. Once I arrived, it was the only place I had to go to find guidance and help in the application process for our 501(c)3 status.

I wish I would have stumbled across Chris’ page much earlier into my application process because this website is a one stop shop to getting approved. I had been researching so many websites and utilizing far too many resources which resulted in a very lengthy application. I even called several lawyers but realized their fees were too pricey. Chris helped me drastically shorten my application to keep the good stuff! IRS 501(c)(3) status approved 20 days after filing our application on pay.gov! We received our approval letter in 28 days!
