Many thanks. We finally got our notification of approval for our 501c3 from the IRS.

It took longer than expected due to the shutdown. We sent hard copy per your recommendation at the time. By the time the IRS opened, they would no longer accept hard copy. We resubmitted via online application and were approved within about 6 weeks.

Many thanks for all your help. I am certain we would not have received our approval on our first online application without your valuable input.

Chris and this website proved to be invaluable when it came to filing for our non-profits 501c3 application. I had no idea where to even start but with the outline of the process and templates provided here, I was pointed in the right direction. If you are debating on purchasing a consultation, you must. I’m 1000% certain Chris’ over the phone feedback after reviewing our completed application was the reason our determination letter came to us from the IRS without follow up questions. The version I downloaded on this website in Jan 2020 was a little different than what the application was when I downloaded from the IRS in March 2020 but it only required small tweaks and re-arranging. Hi there! I do hope you’re well during this time. I just wanted to share my experience using this website. Earlier this year, I started researching and reading a TON of information about obtaining a 501 c3 status for our nonprofit. I read everything and compiled a ton of notes. I did one last Google search and came across this website. I thought the website was too good to be true but it was heaven sent. I took the information that this website provided, along with my compiled notes and submitted an application packet with over 100 pages of information. It took about five months to hear back from the IRS but I am excited to announce that we have received our 501 c3 tax exempt status!! I truly believe this website had a lot to do with us receiving approval. I don’t know who “Chris” is but he is heaven sent. Just made a donation! I truly thank you for creating this website.

Thanks to Chris and his wonderful templates, priceless information that he offers on this site and his own personal help and advice, our organization received its favorable determination letter this past Friday. Despite all the complications due to Covid, I actually got a call from the IRS agent, requesting a piece of info their staff had lost and suggesting we change our classification to public charity instead of POF (which Chris had also told me to do but I was hesitant, since we’re entirely family founded and operated, but he was right ;-)!).

In that call the IRS agent told me “You did a phenomenal job with your 1023 (the long form, not the EZ). I’ve seen non-profit lawyers with years of experience make far more mistakes. Good job!” Of course, I took all the credit but most of it should go to Chris. Never could have done it without him and all his easy to follow instructions and decisive advice. My phone conversation with him and the templates made this all possible.

My team recently started our own college and career readiness nonprofit and we have many challenges ahead but our 1023 was not one! You may remember working with me on the 501(c)(3) application for Sajjadiyya Foundation Limited. With your help, we submitted the application, but I did not request expedited review. I had expected it to take many months for the IRS to be back to us – particularly in light of coronavirus shutdowns. Happily, despite all of that, I received the approval letter a few weeks ago (unfortunately, it was sent to my office, so I only actually saw it yesterday).

OUR 501(c)(3) APPLICATION FOR EXEMPT STATUS WAS APPROVED!!! When I read first sentence that says “We’re pleased to tell you we determined you’re exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC)Section 501(c)(3).” ……

We just received our tax exempt status!!! With no questions asked!! It took about four months and this is during and epidemic. I can’t begin to thank you enough for your wealth of insight and your help! You saved us time and thousands of dollars! Thank you! Thank You! If anyone is on the fence please get off it and use Chris. He is through and walks with you every step of the way. Chris immediately flagged that our bylaws were done wrong and I used the bylaws he provided and submitted our application with his.
